The second and present Webster County courthouse was constructed in 1939-40. The funding for the new building was provided under a grant provided by the Public Works Administration. The courthouse is constructed of poured concrete, which utilizes maximum manpower, main objective of the New Deal. The cost for the project was $143,000.
