The fourth and present Muhlenburg County courthouse was completed in 1907. The courthouse was designed by the prestigious architectural firm of McDonald and Todd of Louisville. The contract for construction was awarded to Bailey and Koerner. The building is a great example of Beaux-Arts architecture. An octagonal clock and bell tower top the courthouse as one of its most spectacular architectural elements.
