Scheduled for the second weekend in May in Owensboro, Kentucky, the International Bar-B-Q Festival offers something for everyone from burgoo to chicken to mutton.

Beginning Friday night with the lighting of the kettles and continues through Saturday night. Serving lines open at 4 pm so everyone can partake in the tasting of the
"Best Bar-B-Q!"

There is plenty of barbecue to sample both days and plenty to do, like the Pie Eating Contest, Festival Beer Garden, Mutton Eating Contest, Classic Cook-Off Judging and Team Judging.
