In 1925, the Louisville and Nashville Railroad built one of the most beautiful passenger depots on its line here in Bowling Green. Classic Revival in style, the interior was decorated with a hand laid nexagonal tile floor wainscoting, with the exterior made from local limestone, all of which remain today. The Depot is available for corporate, civic or social events and the Bowling Green Public Library's Virtual Branch is located at the rear of the facility.
The historic RailPark is comprised of a presidential office car built in 1911, a 1949 Pullman Standard dining car, a 1953 Luxury Pullman sleeper and a Chessie Class caboose and are available for private tours and events.
The Depot and Railpark host many events throughout the year including Railfest in May and Festival of Trains in December. The railcars are open every Saturday from 10 am - 1 pm starting in April. Admission goes to the railcar renovations.
Tours are offered Tuesday thru Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm; Sunday 1 - 4 pm.
