The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) has a 22-year history of executing wildlife habitat conservation strategies and projects and has played a leading role in elk reintrodution programs in several states. That experience includes feasibility studies, on-the-ground implementation of elk resotration projects, post-introduction habitat stewardship and enhancement projects and support of management and research related to elk herds. RMEF chapters, members, staff and volunteers have also played a critical role in these introduction projects.
